| Descripción | Join the Tejas Garden Stars in maintaining the Hummingbird Garden. This opportunity is currently only open to Tejas Garden Stars members but eventually will open to the public. Thank you for your understanding. If you are a member, contact your club's coordinator for the case-sensitive code to register. If you are a Tejas Garden Stars member interested in leading workdays, coordinate your attendance with TGS President, in addition to registering here in GivePulse. Registration is important so that the City of Austin safety and liability waiver is signed - without a GivePulse confirmation you will not be able to volunteer in the garden.
This event could involve:
Please arrive prepared to work outdoors with closed-toed shoes, work gloves, and a full water bottle. We recommend you bring a sun hat and bug spray. The garden gate opens at 9 am. When you arrive at the garden, show your GivePulse confirmation email to the gate staff at check-in to receive free admission for the day. If you do not have a smart phone please bring a printed copy of your confirmation email, or you can sign a physical waiver at the gate when you arrive. Once you've checked in, please park in our volunteer parking lot, which is down a dirt road from our regular parking lot, then walk to the Hummingbird Garden and your group leader will direct you from there. Thank you for your support of the garden! |
